Daryl Eugene Gifford went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 21, 2010.  He was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on November 16, 1953, the son of the late Dale E. and Ida E. (Southwell) Gifford.

He is survived by his sister, Darla Gifford Flanders and his brother-in-law, Mark Flanders of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  He had three beautiful nephews in Eden Prairie, Brandon, Christian, and Andrew Flanders.

Mr. Gifford was reared and educated in Lebanon where he graduated from Lebanon High School in 1972.  He attended IUPUI in Indianapolis and in 1976, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.

Among his many and varied interests, Daryl was a theater enthusiast who acted at a number of community theaters in Indiana, including Center Stage Community Theater of Lebanon of which he was a founding member, The Belfry Theater in Noblesville, and the Indiana Civic Theater, to name a few.  He won Encore’s “Best Actor” award for drama for his starring role in Angel Street at Center Stage.

Mr. Gifford was also a gourmand who enjoyed eating at good restaurants especially while sharing that time with friends.  Daryl was a great supporter of the Christian Science Church in Lebanon and was the church vocalist.  He was, also, a voracious reader and loved movies, but his favorite pastime was shopping with his sister, Darla.

Daryl was the owner and manager of Daryl Terrace Mobile Home Park for a number of years.
